Bishop’s Stortford College: Rules of engagement


The following information is required for a shoot to be considered. 

Hours

  • How many hours per day.

  • Normal day is 8am to 8pm for a film shoot

Overtime

  • Overtime will be charged for outside of the time agreed.

Number of people

  • How many people will be attending the shoot. 

Number of cars

  • How many cars will be attending the shoot

Number of equipment trucks

  • How many equipment trucks will there be

Budget

  • What is the overall budget for the day?

Overtime rate

  • Overtime rate is normally x1.5 the hourly rate

Public Liability insurance up to £10 million

  • Evidence of Public Liability is required to confirm a shoot

Contract

  • A contract outlining the details of the shoot, timing and cast & crew movement around the college.

Accommodation

  • Accommodation is available for cast and crew in the boarding houses in the school holidays

Smoking

  • No smoking at all on the College premises and sports fields

Electricity

  • Please bring your own generators and do not use the school’s electricity

Catering

  • Catering is available in the school canteen with prior notice

Parking

  • A parking area will be allocated to the film shoot once a list of vehicles has been agreed

Hair/make-up/wardrobe

  • If required – one of the boarding houses can be used as a base for hair/make-up/wardrobe and a green room

Unit base

  • The positioning of the unit base will need to be agreed prior to filming. This will need to be a non-smoking unit base.
